The role of a Graphic Designer?

The role of a GRAPHIC designer has changed over the years. Now known as many different titles but still having the same concept.

A graphic design must be able to fulfil and satisfy a design brief set by a client using the REQUIRED media. By using the required media the designer must use research and the development of his ideas to communicate the required message - this may be through print, web, motion graphics and even fashion.

The designer must be able to execute the task by working with a varied selection of sources to conceive a final design. The ULTIMATE aim for the designer is to communicate the message effectively rather than producing avant-garde work.

Some designs created must be ABLE to communicate the required message clearly (i.e. Road signs) while others can be used to make the reader think about the intended message.
